Recap of 2011
- started the year off with Martin Meng and @jordaanh staying at my house.
- visited friends at UCI twice
- went to the Lakers vs Hornets game and got pics with Trevor Ariza and Chris Paul
- visited friends at APU
- finally found a church in Berkeley. wsup Livingwater ;)
- first new active semester in Alpha Delta Chi :D
- was Historian for ADX Spring 2011
- diagnosed with anemia
- first time joining a small group. (shoutout to the LW co-ed Wednesday small group Spring 2011 <3)
- hung out at Alpha Gamma Omega almost everyday and got to know some amazing brothers in Christ
- first time swing dancing for funsies at AGO date night
- went to Stanford for the Cal Women’s Basketball game and was on TV
- ADX murder mystery semi formal with my favorite ginger
- lost ADX elections and didn’t get VP
- energy drink pong. enough said.
- got my first C’s ever =__=
- watched my big sis Sue graduate </3
- applied for 10+ summer internships and got rejected by all of them
- best friend Tiffany Wong got accepted to Berkeley :D
- went to the Britney/Nicki concert
- visited friends at UCSD
- went to Europe for the first time and went to Rome, Venice, Milan, Lucern, Paris, and London
- interned for the Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce during the summer
- helped coach MHS swim during the summer
- went to the Dodgers vs Mets game with box seats
- turned 19!
- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 midnight showing
- He is We concert with Daniel Lew
- moved into an apartment with the best roomie @barbiechu
- was Courtesy Chair and Spiritual Outreach Chair for ADX Fall 2011
- started getting paid for managing the Cal Women’s Basketball team
- Pottermore! and got sorted into Slytherin.. hollah!
- Taylor Swift concert with Karen Chen!
- killed myself with 18.5 units in Fall 2011
- realized I really like Media Studies and I want to double major
- took a class about the Lakers and sports business
- got really involved in swing dancing, including taking a decal for it
- joined another really amazing small group in Fall 2011
- got an ADX lil sis @laurieonlife <3
- finally found a really solid group of friends that I can count on
- pulled countless all-nighters for fun or due to poor planning
- helped Justin make a surprise visit to Berkeley
- went to Pismo Beach with AGO and ADX and met tumblr friends @priscillarose and @kathymarielove
- was Mario and Snow White for Halloween
- ADX circus-themed semi formal
- ice skating in SF for AGO Date Night
- elected Rush Chair and Treasurer for ADX Spring 2012
- submitted my Haas app
- NBA Lockout finally ended <3
- Sara Bareilles concert with Rodney and @kilakeith
- 3 finals in one day… never again -__-;;
- got more bad grades
- went to the Lakers vs Knicks game
- Oh, and I kinda met this boy that makes me smile like no other <3
Life Lessons Learned:
- It’s okay to ask for help and realize it’s not your fault that you can’t do it alone
- God won’t give up on me .. ever.
- God is bigger than anything I’m facing
- My family is actually kind of great
- When I keep God at the center of my life, everything else will fall into place
- I can’t keep going on spreading myself so thin among people. I need a solid community to call my own and I need deeper friendships instead of more.
- If I don’t pray for exactly what I want, then God won’t answer it.
