I seem to have neglected my Tumblr and turned it into a photo blog. While I have enjoyed taking pictures and sharing them on the interwebz, I don’t like how my blog has become so surface level. The place where I could spill my thoughts and fears without a care has suddenly turned into an extension of my Instagram feed.

I’d like to come back to writing here more often. God has been so incredibly good to me over the past year and He has revealed so much of His love and grace to me, and I want to share it with the world. I think a part of the reason why I stopped blogging was out of fear of judgment. That the truth that God has spoken in my life would not be received well by others, especially the Tumblr community. I was scared of being marked as prude or a bigot, but who cares? When there’s a God that loves me (and you!) so much, how could I keep it a secret? 

John 15:19 says, “If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you.”

It may sound stupid, but I’d rather be hated because of my love for Christ than be loved and compromise that relationship. I want to have so much of His love in my life that I could love everyone around me. I’m sure not perfect, but if I have Him at the front of my life, then there’s nothing I cannot do.
